General Questions
What materials can you machine?
We work with a wide variety of materials including hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, plywood, plastics (like acrylic and HDPE), and some non-ferrous metals. Please contact us to discuss your specific material needs.
What are your lead times?
Lead times can vary depending on the complexity of your project and our current workload. We'll give you an estimated timeframe when we provide you with a quote.
How do I get a quote?
The best way is to send us an email with your design files and as much information as possible about the project, including dimensions, material choice, and intended purpose.
Design and File Questions
What kind of files do you accept?
We prefer vector-based files like SVG or DXF for 2D projects and 3D CAD files like STEP, STL, or IGES for 3D projects. This allows us to work with your design more efficiently.
Can I just send you an image file (like a JPG or PNG)?
While we can't machine directly from a flat image, you can send us your design in a high-quality image format along with all the necessary dimensions and details. We will use this to create the CAD file.
What is a "toolpath"?
A toolpath is the set of instructions we program into the CNC machine that tells the cutting tool exactly where to move to create your part. It's the digital bridge between your design and the physical product.
Our Services
I don't have a CAD file, can you help?
Absolutely! We offer a professional CAD design service where we can take your images, sketches, or ideas and turn them into a precise, ready-to-machine CAD file, ensuring your project is set up correctly from the very beginning.
Do you offer finishing services?
Yes, we do. We offer a range of finishing services to complete your project. This includes painting, lacquering, and a variety of other high-quality finishes such as oils and stains. For external projects, we can also apply finishes with added properties like UV resistance to prevent sun damage and mildew resistance to protect against moisture and mould. Please let us know your finishing requirements when you request a quote.
